Letter from Community Arts Network (CAN):
On behalf of local Elders, CAN and partners we wish to inform you that we are cancelling the Mulka - Place Names performance scheduled for next Friday 27 September in Katanning. This decision has been made after consultation with Elders and Noongar communities.
With the sudden passing of Ms Flowers from Tambellup, who played an integral part of the Katanning Noongar Leadership Group, the performance has been cancelled out of respect for the family and the role that that Lynthia played in her community.
CAN will work with the local community to find a preferred date and will resend the invitations once determined.
We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause, and thank you for your understanding at this sad time.
We hope that you will be able to make the new date, and not miss out on the opportunity to see this wonderful story come to life teaching us about the meaning behind the places we live.
