History of the ANZAC:
ANZAC was a term given to the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps soliders who landed on the Gallipoli Peninsula early on the morning of 25th April 1915 during World War I.
ANZAC Day is a day of reflection, gratitude and national pride.
Katanning Town Memorial Service:
Every year the town of Katanning hold a commemoration at the War Memorial in our town to pay respect to the men and women who have served our country and all those who continue to do so.
All are welcome to attend the ANZAC Day Dawn Service at the Katanning War Memorial.
For those wishing to participate in the pre-service march: formation is at the corner of Cliff and Carew Street (Bolto's Croner) starting at 5:45am, 25th April 2025.
Immediately followed by the Dawn Service at the Memorial in Prosser Park.
If you wish to lay a wreath, you are more than welcome to.
Breakfast available for a gold coin donation at the Scouts/Guide Hall on Conroy Street.
